With military tensions heightening worldwide, and authoritarian governments seizing more control over our civil liberties, 2022 is shaping up to give the last couple of years a run for their money.
Lights Out Kit
Recently Dale redesigned his lights out kit he made a few years ago, and in this show, he went over what he added to it and why. You can call this a lights-out kit, black-out kit, or power outage kit, but it’s essential to have it regardless of your name.
If you have people in your home that don’t understand preparedness like you do, having a lights-out kit makes it easy for them to find these critical power outage supplies. It’s beneficial to the prepper because it helps you stay organized. Keep all those essential supplies in one spot for quick access.
Different Levels of Preparedness
There are many different types of people who are interested in preparedness. You have people who want to get through a minor emergency that stocks essential supplies and a little bit of extra food, you have people that want to survive a full-scale SHTF event, and then there’s everyone in between these two extremes.
We use the all-encompassing term “prepper” for all of these, but the truth is, just because someone is interested in preparedness, that doesn’t make them a prepper. We would also consider preppers, but they don’t like or want the prepper label. This could be because of operational security or because they don’t want the perceived stigma that comes along with being a “prepper.”
Is WWIII Coming?
With tensions rising in Ukraine, it seems like some sort of military conflict is likely. We asked in this show what that means for us here in the United States? Is it something that stays in Europe? Or does this conflict escalate to a global scale?
Much has changed since WWII, so how different would a global conflict or war look in 2022? Military equipment and technology are different & economic interests are different, so how this unfolds depends on who gets involved. One thing is sure, though, this could hit closer to home than the previous world wars if it comes to that.
