If you enjoyed the prepper card game Conflicted, you will love this week’s show. As we reviewed the Doomsday Trucker from episode 4 of Doomsday Preppers, we covered a few “what would you do” scenarios.

What would life be like without truckers? Would you be able to turn someone away? And how would you react to SHTF marauders or hijackers? We covered all these and more in tonight’s show.

The Prepping Blueprint

Over the past decade, the internet has helped get the word out about the importance of preparedness, but it has also been a tool to take advantage, scare, and mislead people. At its core, prepping is about being more confident with your current situation, not about being scared of the world around you.

As preppers, we must understand that not all of us can prepare according to the “prepping rulebook.” Ideally, it would be great to have a fully stocked bug-out location in the woods and a prepping group with many skill sets, but that’s not feasible for most people.

The World Without Truckers

Today, we discussed how quickly things would unravel if supply lines were severed because the people delivering the food coundnt get food to stores or fuel to the gas stations.

We also covered the age-old prepper question, “would people flee the cities in an SHTF event?” We’ve seen recently how people are fleeing these liberal-run cities that are being driven into the ground, but what would the rest of them do when it becomes evident that help is NOT on the way?

Turning People Away

During this episode of Doomsday Preppers, Martin talked about how we would never leave his wife, who was recently diagnosed with cancer. This led us to ask the question, “what would it take for us to send someone away?”

The answer to this is far more complicated than most people give it credit for. The answer is simple for close family and friends but becomes more of a dilemma the further people get away from your inner circle.

We also talked about the repercussions of helping someone and sending them packing. It seems that this could be a no-win situation that will need to be handled individually.

SHTF Marauders

Towards the end of this episode of Doomsday Preppers, Martin had his brother set up a simulation of marauders setting up a roadblock to steal his big rig. While this scenario was based around a full-on SHTF situation, this could happen in any disaster.

We talked about what he did wrong, what we would do (and not do), and how SHTF marauder could be an issue in several situations. As preppers, we should consider these scenarios and include them in our bugging out or getting home plans.
